Our weekend started early as usual. I took Viola to a birthday party in a nearby area, at a friend’s house. As usual she styled herself with overloved clothes she was wearing all afternoon since I don’t know when. Usually she is so committed in wearing the same things over and over again that her worn clothes commit suicide in the dirty laundry basket after a couple of days. Well, here she is:
And here’s her friend’s door:
I took the chance to sneak out and explore the are a bit. Especially the back lanes:
..where it seemed like a Shaolin warrior could come out anytime.
Loved the houses:
After the party we decided to have a picnic at the Golders Green park. Such a lovely spot. It also has a little zoo and a butterfly house.
We rolled over the grass, talked and singed and played and, just when we were about to go, we found a beautiful daffodils field. It felt like the Big Fish movie.
The day ended with a Spritz. A very alcoholic one.
Sunday started with the wrong foot. I wasn’t in the mood for anything.
We decided to go to Greenwich anyway.
Had a snack and a walk at the market.
merenda.
Had a walk at the beautiful park.
Here’s Viola and her friend looking at Nelson’s ship in a bottle. Viola decided to wear one of my jumpers. Can you tell?
Best part of the day: coming back by boat all the way to London Bridge.
