Best bars in London are usually hotels bar. This is something I discovered once I moved here, because in Italy we don’t use to pop in hotels bar for drinks, those kind of bars are usually attended by the hotel guests only. Things are slowly changing, but the hotel bars scene is nothing compared to the London one!
I have a few favourite spots and W London Hotel bar is one of those. The W London is located a few steps from the heart of London, Leicester Square, and you can easily spot it, being one of the most stylish building of the area. I first came to this bar one of the first nights out in London. A friend of mine took me here and made me try one of their signature cocktail: the Porn Star. Yes, it IS a sexy cocktail indeed. And so, so good!
A few weeks ago I came back to W London again for some drinks and a special occasion: the presentation of an amazing coffee table book, the Glamour of Leicester Square. It is a collection of the most glamorous, stylish moment of the iconic London square, home of all the Cinema prémieres and events.
It portrays many unforgettable artists such as Greta Garbo, Ingrid Bergman, Vivien Leigh, Frank Sinatra, Laurence Olivier together with contemporary stars such as Tom Cruise, Liz Hurley, Vincent Cassel, Natalie Portman, Brad and Angelina. The photos are so beautiful and glamorous, it is a timeless book, and it is only available at the W London.
Of course, me and my friend Susy took the chance to taste a couple of drinks – including an amazing Apple Margarita with a sparkling twist (isn’t it beautiful?) and some excellent Champagne. During the night we were served some delicious fusion-style canapés and we also found some huge bowls of popcorns on the tables. What can I say about the Joe&Seph’s gourmet popcorns? If you still haven’t tried them, you should.
There we were, super happy about finally catching up after weeks and delighted to tell eachother the last news. I can’t be happy enough for having found such a lovely friend, and the funniest thing is that we met on Twitter! Social media can be an amazing way to create new connections and meet new fabulous friends.

If you’re out and about in Soho and are looking for a beautiful place for a drink, I recommend W London Hotel. It also offers an amazing Brunch and Afternoon Tea, which I plan to try as soon as I can!
